Are you passionate about strengthening the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) and supporting local agencies that help families reduce energy costs and improve housing quality? NCAP is seeking a Weatherization Training & Technical Assistance Project Director to join our Energy Partnerships team.
In this role, you’ll work directly with WAP providers across the country, delivering training, coaching, and technical assistance that strengthens program operations, compliance, workforce development, and production outcomes. You’ll help agencies translate federal requirements into effective local practices while contributing to the success of the national Weatherization network.
Position Highlights
- Full-time position
- Salary range: $84,000–$87,000
- Washington, DC-based hybrid or approved remote work arrangement
- Up to 50% travel nationwide

We’re looking for candidates who have:
- At least five years of experience working within the Weatherization Assistance Program
- Experience applying DOE WAP guidance and federal requirements, including 2 CFR Part 200
- Strong training, coaching, and technical assistance skills
- Experience developing tools, resources, and training materials for adult learners
- A passion for helping agencies improve performance, compliance, and outcomes
