Hosted by the Weatherization Leveraged Partnerships Project, this webinar is for leaders of local Weatherization Agencies and State Associations to learn about the current threats to low-income energy affordability and how to use their expertise to advocate at legislatures and public utility commissions. The electricity industry is changing rapidly; utilities in nearly every state are requesting changes to the way rates are structured and consumers are billed. These changes will likely be detrimental to low-income households. WAP agencies and associations are well positioned to advocate for just, fair, and reasonable utility rate design for low-income households; Elizabeth Marx of the Pennsylvania Utility Law Project presents strategies for beginning such advocacy.
