Community Action Agencies manage projects that are critical to their mission every day, whether it be rewriting an HR manual, opening a new community center, or overseeing a database migration. Do you ever find yourself in the middle of the project, thinking “we could have done this better… I can’t believe we are this far in the project and someone still doesn’t understand what we’re trying to do!” Formal project management exists as a field for precisely this reason: there are proven practices that lead to more effective completion of projects.
