The 2018 Version of Money Smart for Adults: Building Financial Skills and Confidence through Knowledge and Practice
The FDIC’s 2018 version of the instructor-led Money Smart for Adults curriculum was released in November 2018! This full replacement of the 2010 version provides instructors with practical knowledge, skills-building opportunities, and resources they can use to help participants manage their finances with confidence. The 14 new modules feature basic financial topics, and include updated information, and expanded content on topics such as mobile banking, creative ways to save money, and credit reports and scores.

Career Pathways as a Leadership Development Framework in Community Action
This Organizational Standards Center of Excellence Peer-to-Peer webinar will focus on an example of a career pathways framework for CAA personnel in Massachusetts. The Massachusetts Association for Community Action (MASSCAP) conducted a Community Action Career Pathways Research Project, identifying and documenting career pathways in the common occupation areas of the 23 CAAs in MA. The recently published report identifies the skills and training needed by CAA employees to move upward on a career pathway, as well as recommendations on developing a culture of professional development and career planning within CAAs. This webinar will provide key information and findings of the study which was funded by the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Workforce Development's Workforce Training Fund.
