Community Action Partnership of Orange County (CAP OC) has leveraged their Weatherization program with Medicaid programs to provide supplemental home modification services to meet the growing needs of underserved clients with mobility issues or asthma. Additionally, they have taken advantage of Weatherization readiness funds to abate asbestos and other deferral issues. By integrating the Weatherization process with non-energy funds, they have created a healthier home environment for participants, improving comfort, health, safety and accessibility. This innovative approach also leverages contract funds from their county Medicaid provider, CalOptima Health, for additional community support services.

During this webinar, representatives from CAP OC discussed how this program was developed, its key milestones and current challenges, and how to create similar Medicaid initiatives in other states.
