Abby Hanks is a Program Consultant with the Virginia Department of Social Services in the Office on Volunteerism and Community Services. Abby specifically works with the Community Services Block Grant where she provides grant management and technical assistance to the 31 Community Action Agencies in Virginia. Abby also manages the Community Action AmeriCorps VISTA program and is passionate about creating National Service Opportunities. She received her M.S. in Higher Education from the University of Rhode Island and her B.S. in Mass Communication from Towson University.
Lil Dupree has experience at both the local and national levels of Community Action. A CCAP and a Master ROMA Trainer, Lil began her Community Action Career in a Montana CAA in 2005 and joined the national Community Action Partnership in 2010. She worked on the team that developed the Organizational Standards, the Emerging Leaders, and the Training and Technical Resource Center, as well as managing the Pathways to Excellence program. In 2013, Lil returned to the field, first as a Director of Planning and Evaluation, and most recently as the Executive Director of a small, rural CAA. She is delighted to rejoin the Partnership team part-time, helping to lead the next phase of implementing the successful Learning Communities Resource Center.
