People’s Equal Action and Community Effort, Inc. (or PEACE, Inc., the Community Action Agency for Onondaga County/Syracuse New York) and Kresge Foundation staff will share best practices from the Boosting Opportunities for Social and Economic Mobility for Families (BOOST) Initiative. Through community college/human service nonprofit partnerships, BOOST used Aspen Ascend/2Gen approaches, career pathways, and racial equity principles to offer holistic solutions for low-income families. Focus will be placed on BOOST Syracuse, a city tapped for transformative federal infrastructure/CHIPs Act investments and possessing some of the highest rates of poverty/child poverty in the nation.
