Head Start and Early Head Start, Responding to COVID-19 and Rising Need in States
July 28 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
As early childhood programs and state policymakers continue to respond to COVID-19, we know that a focus on young children and families living in poverty and those most at-risk is essential to prevent the worst impacts of the pandemic. On this first of a three webinar series hosted by the National Head Start Association, National Community Action Partnership and ZERO TO THREE, learn about how one Head Start (HS) and Early Head Start (EHS) program responded, one states’ plans to include HS and EHS in their ongoing investments in young children and explore the access gaps for comprehensive services for infants and toddlers in the states by income and race.
The speaker line-up includes:
- Eva Pignotti, Head Start and Early Head Start Director, Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency (Salem, OR)
- Jovanna Archuleta, New Mexico, Assistant Secretary for Native American Early Education and Care, New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department
- Kim Keating, Senior Policy Research Analyst, ZERO TO THREE Policy Center
