The Partnership is excited to announce that the 2020 Community Action Month Toolkit is out now and available to download in .pdf format. This year’s toolkit includes all-new social media graphics and sample tweets, new daily themes and hashtags, updated meme creators, 2020 Census content, and more.

We’ve also included a companion one-pager called the “Community Action & COVID-19 Quick Guide” which includes ideas and resources to help you take your efforts virtual so you can stay safe while you celebrate. We encourage you to consult this supplemental document when planning your activities, bearing in mind that the toolkit was produced before the pandemic hit the states, and before the severity of the situation was completely understood.

That being said, we have an array of exciting activities this year, which we’ve outlined in the Community Action Month Calendar. Be sure to print it out and follow along, as it includes daily themes and hashtags as well as guidance for sharing more than a dozen sample memes along with several pages of sample social media messages. Additionally, we hope you’ll use the hashtag #CommunityActionResponds when when promoting any efforts to support your community through the coronavirus pandemic.

As always, we encourage you to get creative and take advantage of the tools and resources available in the toolkit. Visit our new 2020 Community Action Month webpage where you can download the toolkit, the COVID-19 Quick Guide, the Community Action Month Calendar, as well as all the social media graphics and meme creator templates included in the toolkit.

For additional guidance, please join us on WednesdayApril 29, at 2 ET / 1 CT / 12 MT / 11 PT for our webinar overview of the 2020 Community Action Month Toolkit. We’ll walk through the contents of the toolkit, how to use it, and highlight everything that’s new this year.
