Once again, the Partnership would like to extend its sincere gratitude to everyone who joined us — in person or via livestream — for the 2019 National Community Action Immigration Summit, which took place April 3 – 5, 2019, in El Paso, Texas, and was convened with the support of El Paso CAP, Project BRAVO. The event proved to be a momentous occasion that brought together journalists, legal experts, families, and leaders from every corner of the Community Action network for an overview of current immigration issues, how individuals can access legal residence status, and what role Community Action Agencies can play — and do play — to meet the needs of immigrant families.
We’ve begun piecing together and editing video from days one and two of the Summit and we’re very excited to share with you three sessions that we consider to be especially powerful, illuminating, and useful to our network — which you can find below or by clicking here. Check back soon, as we will continue to edit and upload additional sessions to the 2019 National Community Action Immigration Summit webpage in the coming weeks.
Also, in effort to keep momentum going around Community Action and its role in supporting immigrant and migrant families, we’ve set up a resource page which includes practice models, research, legal resources, policy, and other insights for building and sustaining opportunities for families that have been affected by the immigration crisis.
