New Executive Director’s Institute

Wednesday, October 9 – Friday, October 11


This two and half day training is designed to help new executive directors achieve deeper insight into their role, the work of Community Action, and current operating environment of the Community Action Network. The training will be provided by the Community Action Partnership, National Community Action Foundation, and Community Action Program Legal Services, WIPFLi, National Association for State Community Services Programs, and other industry experts.

Training topics will include Community Action from Past to Present, Advocacy, Balancing Governance and Management, Board Development, Financial Management, Human Resources, Strategic Planning, Resource Development, Performance Management, and more! There will be time for individual consults during the Institute.

This training is appropriate for executive directors who have been in their role for 5 years or less.

Registration Details

Registration for this exciting opportunity for leadership training is $450 per person (credit card/check accepted). This includes breakfast on Thursday and Friday morning as well as lunch on Wednesday and Thursday.

Those who registered for Leadership Day as part of the Community Action Partnership 2019 Annual Convention are eligible for a $100 discount on the Executive Director’s Institute registration fee.
