SUMMARY:Peer Data Webinar Series: A Web of Data Management Systems: What If Your Spreadsheets Talked to Each Other?
DESCRIPTION:Peer Presenter: Keenan Woods\, Ph.D\, Director of Performance Management\, United Planning Organization \nIn today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape\, the interconnectedness of data management systems stands as a pivotal strategy with multifaceted benefits. SUMMARY:The Solar Value Proposition: Leveraging Renewable Energy Now to Lower Your Operating Costs
DESCRIPTION:Solar energy is safe\, clean\, good for people and the environment\, yet in 2023 solar power only generated 3.9% of electricity in the United States. Why aren’t projects and panels popping up in on buildings and homes in communities everywhere? Because solar is complex… it’s new\, requires change\, and impacts industry and the economy; plus\, it requires strategy\, time\, and resources. \nThis webinar will provide insight into the roles equity\, community\, and justice play in Solar Energy. We will break down solar into bite size pieces\, discuss energy systems\, and how they can impact low-income communities\, people of color\, and high-risk populations. We will talk about eCAP- a collaboration between NCAP\, Cap Renewables\, and the Kresge Foundation to outfit CAAs with solar energy systems- and its imperative of energizing the CAA network’s influence and responses to climate shifts in our communities. Topics will include getting solar ready\, seeding resiliency hubs\, generating and sharing community energy\, and more. \nPresenters: Kendra Baldwin (NCAP) and Laura Miranda-Brown (Cap Renewables) \nClick here to register for the webinar.

SUMMARY:Virtual Racial Healing Circle in observance of Indigenous Peoples' Day
DESCRIPTION:In observance of Indigenous People’s Day\, join us as we take participants into a Racial Healing Circle Experience. This introductory circle will bring participants into the heart space by inviting us to tell our own stories\, to listen deeply to the stories of others by finding common ground\, and to embrace our common humanity when we see ourselves in the perceived other. When this occurs\, we build the trust that is necessary for courageous dialogue and the transformation of hearts and minds that shows up in what we say and do. This building model alternates between group conversation and one-on-one dyads\, aiming to offer a deeper practice than usual. Racial Healing Circles satisfy the unrecognized need of communal healing and shared liberation. \nClick here to register.
