SUMMARY:Innovative Partnerships to Advance Health Equity
DESCRIPTION:Partnerships between Community Action Agencies and the healthcare sector are essential to addressing the social determinants of health and the systemic barriers to healthcare services. This webinar will highlight agencies participating in NCAP’s Vaccine Equity Project. Through partnership with the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO)\, these agencies are working to reduce disparities in vaccination rates among racial and ethnic groups and in rural populations. As service providers and trusted messengers in the community\, Community Action Agencies are uniquely suited to address issues of vaccine hesitancy\, distrust of healthcare providers\, language barriers\, and access to healthcare facilities.
