SUMMARY:System Transformation through Community Leadership: Moving Upstream Together
DESCRIPTION:Our webinar\, Systems Transformation for Community Leadership: Moving Upstream Together\, in partnership with Chapin Hall will provide an opportunity for Community Action Agency leaders to hear about the demand and need for systems to more fully collaborate with community partners. \nChapin Hall’s Equity Bulletins coincide with the nation’s growing recognition that continuing to build and resource existing system infrastructure is not likely to result in better outcomes for families. Redesigning these systems and the family user experience is possible only if communities can carefully and thoughtfully engage systems differently. \nDuring the webinar\, we will hold up what Chapin Hall learned about prior efforts to engage community partners in systems change\, and then have an open and authentic conversation about what’s possible and how we can get there. \nPanel: \n\nDenise Harlow\, CEO\, National Community Action Partnership\nBryan Samuels\, Executive Director\, Chapin Hall\nSue Gallagher\, Chief Innovation Officer\, Children’s Services Council of Broward County\nLiz Kuoppala\, Executive Director\, MAHUBE-OTWA Community Action Partnership\, Inc.\nTiffney Marley\, Senior Vice President\, National Community Action Partnership\nMark McDaniel\, Policy Fellow\, Chapin Hall\nJames Green\, Director\, Palm Beach County Community Services\n\nFor more information on Chapin Hall’s Equity Bulletins and strategies for building effective partnerships with Black and Brown communities\, check out Chapin Hall’s Systems Transformation page. \nClick here to register.

DESCRIPTION:ICAST is a national 501c3 non-profit organization that specializes in retrofitting multifamily affordable housing properties. As a Weatherization Assistance Subgrantee\, ICAST has helped Community Action Agencies\, WAP subgrantees and State Weatherization Administrators tackle multifamily weatherization projects. Do you know how to target and outreach to multifamily properties\, as well as perform follow up education\, rather than have them come to you?\n\nThe session will also cover opportunities for working with multifamily housing including: \n\nLeveraging Additional Funding\nServing more households\nServing highly disadvantaged/underserved groups such as low income disabled individuals\, seniors and people of color which disproportionately live in multifamily housing\n\nLearning Objectives: \n\nLearn how to target multifamily properties which will be receptive to WAP\nLearn how to better talk about and secure cost share\nLearn about the resources available to help work with multifamily properties\n\nClick here to register.
