SUMMARY:Weatherization at 50: From Energy Crisis to National Impact
DESCRIPTION:As the Weatherization Assistance Program approaches 50 years of service\, this session will explore how a national response to the energy crisis of the 1970s grew into one of the nation’s most impactful energy savings programs. Participants will examine the origins and evolution of Weatherization\, the growth of the national network\, and the program’s lasting impact on lowering household energy costs and burden\, housing stability\, health and safety\, workforce development\, and local communities.
