SUMMARY:Career Pathways as a Leadership Development Framework in Community Action
DESCRIPTION:This Organizational Standards Center of Excellence Peer-to-Peer webinar will focus on an example of a career pathways framework for CAA personnel in Massachusetts.  The Massachusetts Association for Community Action (MASSCAP) conducted a Community Action Career Pathways Research Project\, identifying and documenting career pathways in the common occupation areas of the 23 CAAs in MA. The recently published report identifies the skills and training needed by CAA employees to move upward on a career pathway\, as well as recommendations on developing a culture of professional development and career planning within CAAs. This webinar will provide key information and findings of the study which was funded by the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Workforce Development’s Workforce Training Fund. \nPresenters: Patricia Pelletier\, Planning\, Workforce Development\, and Training Consultant at MASSCAP; Josh Amaral\, Assistant Executive Director at PACE in New Bedford\, MA;  Kerry A. Brennan\, Chief Operating Officer\, WCAC\, Worcester\, MA \nRegister \nProvided by the Organizational Standards Center of Excellence at National CAP
