Call for Workshop Proposals
Present at the 2019 Annual Convention
Are you as excited as we are for this year’s convention? In order to provide our colleagues with the best convention possible, we are currently accepting workshop proposals for consideration. Submit your proposal here. DEADLINE EXTENDED: Proposals must be received by May 10, 2019 in order to be considered.
Based on our long history of peer-to-peer training, the Partnership has secured a number of CAA professionals and national network partners to provide training. However, we also welcome proposals from local Community Action Agencies, State and Regional Associations, national partners and nonprofit experts.
The Partnership is particularly interested in sessions covering the following topics:
- Effective Administration and Governance
- Promising Anti-Poverty Practices
- Strategies to Increase Visibility
- Research, Policy, and Action
- Performance at the Front Line
- Community Economic Development
- Energy Partnerships
The Partnership is looking for presenters from across the nation and at varying levels within and outside of Community Action to share their expertise. Panel presentations are welcome. Consider submitting a workshop or encouraging someone you know to do so today! Please also share with appropriate partner organizations and subject matter experts.
Concerned about submitting a workshop because it will be your first time presenting? Have a specific innovation you’d like to share briefly? Consider submitting a workshop to be a part of the Ignite presentation model where each speaker gets 5 minutes and must use 20 slides with each slide advancing automatically after 15 seconds.
Please fill out the online form here with information about your workshop. Submissions are due Friday, May 10.
