Pre-Convention Trainings

WIPFLi

August 26 – 27 | 8:00am – 5:00pm

This training workshop is designed to help the audience learn about the Uniform Guidance regulations and, more importantly, how to implement them. During training we review the regulations you need to know to stay in compliance through examples, stories, and best practices learned form years of auditing and consulting. Our goal is for the participants to take back up-to-date and relevant information to implement.

Monday: General Provision and Administrative Requirements

Tuesday: OMB Cost Principles, Cost Allocation, and Audit Requirements

The fee structure is as follows:

  • $625 per participant registering on or before July 29, 2019CAP Members must use the promo code provided in a separate email when registering or they will be charged the regular early bird rate.
  • $795 (regular registration fee) per participant registering after July 29, 2019.

Pathways Peer Review Training

August 26 – 27 | 8:00am – 5:00pm

Participants successfully completing this training become a part of peer-review teams who review and score CAA self-studies submitted by agencies enrolled under the Pathways to Excellence or Award for Excellence initiatives. Participating on Peer-Review Teams is voluntary, excellent professional development, and deeply appreciated by both the Partnership and the agencies pursuing excellence.

Please plan your flight schedule to attend the entire training. Pathways Open Enrollment Training

August 27 | 8:00am – 5:00pm

Pathways to Excellence is the Partnership’s organizational capacity building initiative. Pathways uses 35 Standards of Excellence based on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Network to define the very best practices for agencies. This training is for all agencies interested in beginning this twelve month program. Throughout the year, agencies will conduct a comprehensive self-study process and report, participate in monthly support webinars and calls, and receive a detailed peer review report from a team of Pathways-trained experts.

Leadership Day

August 27 | 12:00pm – 4:00pm

Leadership Day provides Community Action leaders an opportunity to come together, before the convention whirlwind starts, to focus on leadership and management issues that impact their Community Action Agencies. Particpants have an oppportunity to learn from leadership and management experts. They also participate in peer-to-peer dialogue and problem solving.

Leadership Day Luncheon: 12:00pm – 1:00pm, for Leadership Day Registrants only

Concurrent Tracks 1:00pm – 4:00pm:

  • Emerging Leaders
